From first ticket to a full house
Everything you need to create, sell out and run your event on EventYangu.
1. Create your organizer account
Go to Sell tickets and sign in with your phone number or email. There’s no password: we send you a one-time code. Add your organizer name and a short bio; this becomes your public page.
2. Build your event
The five-step wizard shows a live preview as you go:
- Details: title, category and a description that sells the night.
- Date & venue: start time, doors, venue and area.
- Poster: upload a portrait image (4:5). We crop and compress it for fast loading.
- Tickets: add tiers such as Early bird, Regular, VIP and Tables, with prices and limits.
- Publish: review and go live.
Your first paid event is checked by our team before it goes live, usually within a few hours.
3. Price your tickets
Choose per event whether buyers pay the 3% fee on top, or you absorb it. Use the earnings calculator to see what you’ll take home.
- Early bird tiers create urgency. Close them by date or quantity.
- Discount codes work for partners, students and promoters.
- Lipa Polepole lets fans reserve with a deposit and pay the rest in instalments.
- Group buy lets friends split one order across their phones.
4. Promote and sell
Share your event link everywhere: WhatsApp status, Instagram bio and TikTok. Each link opens a fast page that works on any phone. Watch sales live on your dashboard, with a sound and toast for every new sale.
5. Build your team
Invite people with the right role:

| Gate | Scan tickets only |
| Promoter | Their own promo links and sales |
6. Check guests in
Open the scanner on any phone. It downloads your guest list so it works offline, verifies each ticket in about 30 ms and syncs with other gates every few seconds. Screenshots and reused tickets are rejected automatically.
7. Get paid
Your balance updates with every sale. Once your KYC is approved, withdraw the same day to M-Pesa, Paybill, Till or bank for free, or instantly for KES 50. Unverified organizers have 20% held in reserve until the event ends.
