Who we are
EventYangu ("we", "us") runs eventyangu.com, a platform that lets organizers sell tickets to events in Kenya and lets fans discover and buy them. By using EventYangu you agree to these terms.
Buying tickets
- A ticket is a licence from the organizer to attend their event. The organizer is responsible for the event itself, including its timing, content, venue and age limits.
- Prices are shown in Kenyan shillings with any fees displayed before you pay.
- Tickets are signed and personal to the order. Reselling them above face value, or copying them, is not allowed and may void the ticket.
- Keep your ticket safe in My tickets. You can recover it on a new phone with the number you paid with.
Organizers
- You must provide accurate information about yourself and your events, and hold any licences or permissions they need.
- You agree to our fees as shown on the pricing page at the time you publish.
- You are responsible for honouring tickets sold, and for refunds under your stated policy and our refund policy.
- We may review, pause or remove events, and hold payouts, where we suspect fraud, safety issues or breach of these terms.
Payments
Payments are processed by licensed providers such as Safaricom M-Pesa and Paystack. We will never ask for your M-Pesa PIN.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse EventYangu: no fraud, fake events, scraping, attempts to break security, or content that is illegal, hateful or infringes others’ rights.
Liability
We work hard to keep EventYangu available and accurate, but the service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, or for the conduct of organizers, venues or other users.
Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are significant we’ll tell you on the site or by message before they take effect.
